Kingdom Identity Devotional
Week 40: “Servant Of Christ”

Scripture:

Galatians 1:10 — “If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

Devotional Teaching:

In a world that celebrates self-promotion, independence, and personal achievement, the identity of a servant of Christ stands in powerful contrast. A servant is someone who lives with a different motivation — not to impress people, but to honor the One who called them. Being a servant of Christ doesn’t diminish you. It defines you.

It means:

• You follow His voice above every other voice
• You choose obedience over convenience
• You prioritize His will over your preferences
• You serve others because you belong to Him

A servant of Christ is not driven by applause, recognition, or approval. Their identity is rooted in the One they serve. This brings freedom — freedom from people-pleasing, from pressure, and from the need to perform. Jesus Himself modeled this identity. He said He came “not to be served, but to serve. ”And when you walk in this identity, you reflect His heart to the world. Serving Christ is not a task — it’s a lifestyle. It’s a posture of humility, love, and surrender that transforms every part of your life.

Reflection Questions:

1. Where is God inviting you to serve Him more intentionally?
2. What areas of your life still seek people’s approval?
3. How can you reflect Christ’s servant heart this week?

Identity Declaration:

“I am a servant of Christ. My life, my choices, and my actions honor Him above all.”

Prayer:

Father, thank You for calling me to be a servant of Christ. Shape my heart to reflect His humility, obedience, and love. Free me from the need to please people, and help me live fully surrendered to Your will. Use my life to bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
