Kingdom Identity Devotional
Week 4: “Child Of God”

Scripture:

John 1:12 “But to all who received Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

Devotional Teaching:

One of the most powerful truths you will ever embrace is this: You are a child of God — not by accident, not by emotion, but by divine right. John 1:12 says God gave you the right to become His child. That means:

• You didn’t earn it
• You didn’t qualify for it
• You didn’t work your way into it
• You didn’t stumble into it

God gave it to you. Your identity as His child is not fragile. It doesn’t shift with your feelings. It doesn’t disappear when you struggle. It doesn’t weaken when you fall short. You are His — fully, completely, eternally. And because you are His child:

• You have access
• You have inheritance
• You have covering
• You have identity
• You have purpose
• You have belonging

You are not an outsider trying to get in. You are not a servant hoping to be accepted. You are not a mistake God is trying to fix. You are His child — loved, chosen, and welcomed. Let this truth settle into your spirit this week: God is not just your Creator. He is your Father.

Reflection Questions:

1. What areas of your life still feel like you’re trying to “earn” God’s approval?
2. How would your decisions change if you lived fully aware that you are God’s child?
3. What does “belonging to God” mean to you personally?

Identity Declaration:

I am a child of God. I belong to Him. I am loved, accepted, and covered. Nothing can separate me from His love.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for calling me Your child. Help me walk in the confidence, peace, and identity that comes from belonging to You. Let Your love shape my thoughts, my decisions, and my daily life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
