Scripture:
Acts 1:8 — “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me… to the ends of the earth.
”Devotional Teaching:
God never intended your faith to stay hidden or silent. When the Holy Spirit came upon you, He empowered you to be a witness — someone who carries the message, presence, and reality of Jesus into the world. A witness doesn’t have to know everything. A witness simply tells what they’ve seen, experienced, and received. Being a witness to the nations doesn’t always mean traveling across the world. It means living in such a way that Christ is revealed through you — in your conversations, your character, your compassion, and your courage. Everywhere you go becomes a place where the Kingdom touches earth.
You witness through:
• Your story
• Your transformation
• Your obedience
• Your love
• Your boldness
• Your willingness to speak when God opens a door
The nations begin with the people around you — and extend as far as God chooses to send your influence. You are part of God’s global mission, empowered by His Spirit, carrying His message, and shining His light.
Reflection Questions:
1. Where is God giving you opportunities to be a witness right now?
2. What part of your story could encourage someone else?
3. How can you be more intentional about representing Christ this week?
Identity Declaration:
“I am a witness to the nations. The Holy Spirit empowers me to reveal Christ wherever I go.”
Prayer:
Father, thank You for empowering me to be a witness. Fill me with boldness, clarity, and compassion. Open doors for me to share Your love and truth. Let my life reflect Jesus in every place You send me. In His name, Amen.
