Kingdom Identity Devotional
Week 28: “Clothe In Christ”

Scripture:

Galatians 3:27 (NKJV)“For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”

Devotional Teaching:

You are not clothed in shame. You are not clothed in your past. You are not clothed in your failures, weaknesses, or old identity. You are clothed in Christ.

To “put on Christ” means:

• to wear His identity
• to walk in His character
• to reflect His nature
• to carry His authority
• to live from His righteousness

When God looks at you, He sees His Son covering you.

You are wrapped in:

• His grace
• His strength
• His purity
• His righteousness
• His victory

Being clothed in Christ is not about pretending to be something you’re not. It’s about embracing who you truly are in Him. Clothing changes how you walk, how you carry yourself, and how you see yourself.

In the same way, being clothed in Christ changes:

• your confidence
• your posture
• your decisions
• your responses
• your identity

You don’t wake up and “try harder” to be like Jesus. You wake up and put Him on.

You choose:

• His peace over anxiety
• His love over anger
• His humility over pride
• His purity over compromise
• His truth over lies

This week, remember: You are not wearing your old life. You are clothed in Christ — fully covered, fully accepted, fully renewed.

Reflection Questions:

1. What “old garments” (old attitudes, old identities, old patterns) try to cling to you?
2. What would it look like to consciously “put on Christ” each morning?
3. Which aspect of Christ’s character do you sense the Spirit inviting you to wear more intentionally?

Identity Declarations:

• I am clothed in Christ.
• His righteousness covers me.
• His character shapes me.
• His identity defines me.
• I walk in the strength and purity of Jesus.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for clothing me in Christ. Help me lay aside every old pattern and put on the character of Jesus. Cover me in Your righteousness, strengthen me by Your Spirit, and let my life reflect the One I wear. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
