Kingdom Identity Devotional
Week 23: “The Apple Of His Eye”

Scripture:

Deuteronomy 32:10 (NKJV)“He kept him as the apple of His eye.”

Devotional Teaching:

You are precious to God. Not casually. Not occasionally. Not conditionally.

You are the apple of His eye — a Hebrew expression meaning:

• the center of one’s focus• the object of deep affection
• something protected with great care
• something treasured and valued

In ancient culture, the “apple of the eye” referred to the pupil — the most sensitive, protected part of the body. To touch the pupil was to provoke an immediate, instinctive response of defense. This is how God sees you. You are not overlooked. You are not forgotten. You are not replaceable. You are not insignificant. You are treasured — deeply, personally, intentionally.

God watches over you with:

• affection
• protection
• attention
• care
• delight

You are not a burden to Him. You are not a disappointment to Him. You are not a project He tolerates. You are someone He delights in.

Being the apple of His eye means:

• God is attentive to your needs
• He is protective of your life
• He is near to your heart
• He values you beyond measure
• He responds when you are touched or threatened

This week, let this truth settle into your identity: You are not just loved —you are cherished. You are not just seen —you are held close. You are not just known —you are treasured. You are the apple of His eye.

Reflection Questions:

1. What experiences in your life have made you feel unseen or unvalued?
2. How does knowing you are treasured by God change the way you see yourself?
3. Where do you need to trust God’s protective care more deeply?

Identity Declarations:

• I am the apple of God’s eye.
• God treasures me, protects me, and delights in me.
• I am deeply valued and intentionally loved.
• God watches over my life with care and affection.
• I walk in the confidence of someone cherished by God.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for calling me the apple of Your eye .Help me rest in Your love, trust in Your protection, and walk in the confidence of being treasured by You. Heal every place in my heart that has felt unseen or unvalued. Let Your affection define my identity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
