Kingdom Identity Devotional
Week 1: “Chosen By God”

Scripture:

Ephesians 1:4 (NKJV)“He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world…”

Devotional Teaching:

Before you ever took your first breath, God made a decision about you. He chose you. Not reluctantly. Not accidentally. Not as a backup plan. Not because you earned it. He chose you before the foundation of the world — before creation, before time, before sin, before your mistakes, before your victories, before your calling was even revealed.

Being chosen means:

• God wanted you
• God planned for you
• God set His love on you intentionally
• God saw your entire life and still said “Yes”
• God assigned you purpose before you ever lived a day

You are not random. You are not overlooked. You are not an after thought. You are not a mistake. You are chosen.

And when you know you’re chosen, it breaks:

• insecurity
• rejection
• comparison
• striving
• fear of not being enough

This week, let this truth settle deeply: God chose you on purpose, with purpose, for purpose.

Reflection Questions:

1. What lies have you believed about being unwanted or overlooked?
2. How does knowing God chose you before creation change the way you see yourself?
3. Where in your life do you need to walk with the confidence of someone chosen by God?

Identity Declarations:

• I am chosen by God.
• God wanted me and planned for me.
• My life has purpose because God chose me before time began.
• I walk in confidence, not insecurity.
• I am fully accepted and deeply loved.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for choosing me before the foundation of the world. Help me walk in the confidence of Your love and purpose. Break every lie of rejection and insecurity. Let my life reflect the truth that I am chosen, wanted, and called by You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
