Scripture: John 15:16 (NKJV)“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit…”
Devotional Teaching:
God didn’t just choose you — He appointed you. Being chosen speaks to identity. Being appointed speaks to assignment. Jesus makes it clear:You are not an accident. You are not self‑made. You are not wandering through life hoping to find purpose. You were chosen by Him and appointed for Him.
Your appointment means:
• You have a God‑given purpose
• You carry Heaven’s authorization
• You are empowered to bear lasting fruit
• You are not disqualified by your past
• You are not defined by human approval
Jesus didn’t choose you because you were qualified. He chose you, and that choice qualifies you. Your appointment is not fragile. It is not temporary. It is not dependent on people’s opinions or your own perfection. It is rooted in Christ’s calling and sealed by His Spirit.
You are appointed to:
• influence
• impact
• bear fruit
• represent Christ
• walk in purpose
• bring Heaven into the earth
This week, walk with the confidence of someone who has been hand‑selected and divinely assigned. You are chosen. You are appointed. You are sent.
Reflection Questions:
1. Where have you doubted your calling or purpose?
2. What fruit do you believe God wants to produce in your life this season?
3. How does knowing you are appointed change the way you approach your daily assignments?
Identity Declarations:
• I am chosen by God.
• I am appointed for purpose and impact
• God’s calling on my life is secure and unshakable.
• I am empowered to bear lasting fruit.
• I walk confidently in my divine assignment.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for choosing me and appointing me for Your purpose. Help me walk boldly in the assignment You’ve given me. Produce lasting fruit in my life and let everything I do bring glory to You. Strengthen my confidence in Your calling and guide my steps daily. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
